This morning, some interesting news emerged in the way of the HTC One M9 Plus. This is the secondary HTC One device which is rumored to be due for release along with the standard HTC One M9. In the earlier reported news the specs for the One M9 Plus seemed to be leaked in benchmarks provided by CompuBench. Following on from this, it also now seems that the standard HTC One M9 benchmark results have also been leaked online and again from CompuBench.
According to the benchmarking, the specs destined for the HTC One M9 are as follows. The One M9 will come with a 5-inch display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution. Inside the One M9 will come equipped with 3GB RAM (noted as 2.6GB) and powered by the Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor (clocking at 1.9GHz) along with the Adreno 430 for graphics processing. In terms of memory, the One M9 will offer 32GB internal storage (although the benchmarks note only 23GB usable). In terms of cameras, the benchmarks state there will be a 19-megapixel rear shooter with autofocus, face detection, flash, HDR and touch focus. While on the front of the device, there will be a 12-megapixel camera. Lastly, the M9 will come running on Android 5.0.1 (Lollipop).
How true these specifications are, will only really be known once the device is announced at MWC in a couple of weeks. That said, there are some interesting differences between what the One M9 benchmarks suggest, compared to today’s earlier M9 Plus benchmarks. For instance, on the standard One M9, the screen is a 5-inch and offering 1920 x 1200 resolution. In contrast, the M9 Plus benchmarks suggest the Plus version will come with an enhanced 2560 x 1440 resolution. This is in spite of the Plus display being only fractionally larger (5.1-inch). More revealingly, the M9 Plus benchmarks suggest the Plus will come with a MediaTek processor while the standard One M9 seems to be sporting the Snapdragon 810 processor. Otherwise, much of the rest of the specs seem to be the same across both devices. Based on these results, which device would you prefer to go for? The One M9 or the One M9 Plus? Let us know.
