Huawei: We Plan To Sell 3 Million Smartphones In Mexico in 2015

Huawei was one of the most interesting mobile tech companies in 2014. This Chinese tech giant made some changes in the smartphone design, same can be said about the design of their Android skin as well. These changes definitely benefited the company, they started manufacturing great looking, premium smartphones and their UI also became far more responsive and flat. Huawei’s financial results for last year were also great, which boosted this company even further. I expect Huawei to continue doing a great job this year as well, even improve upon their last year’s offerings.

This Chinese smartphone OEM is present all over the world, but they intend to expand even further this year, which was to be expected. According to the latest report, Huawei plans to sell 3 million smartphones in Mexico in 2015. They’ve signed some trade agreements which should definitely help them achieve that, like the one they signed with the Club America (football / soccer club) for example. This is an optimistic goal for the company, but they’re already selling their handsets in Mexico even though they’re not that well-known there, so it is definitely doable. Huawei and Club America are actually currently discussing further cooperation between the two brands after they signed a 3-year long partnership contract, we might even see official Club America Huawei-branded smartphones in the future. Club America is not the first football club to cooperate with Huawei though, the company also has / had deals with Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, Galatasaray, Paris Saint Germain and the national team of Russia.

Huawei is obviously looking to sell even more smartphones in 2015, and partnerships like that could definitely help the company do that. The company will announce the P8 smartphone in London in April, and I’m sure that the Mate 8 and some other smartphones will follow later this year. It will be interesting to see how will this company fare in 2015 with such fierce competition. Xiaomi is currently the number 1 smartphone manufacturer in China and I’m really interested in seeing what will Huawei do in order to close the gap between the two of them.
