Huawei P8 handset has been mentioned plenty of times by the world’s tech media in the last couple of weeks. We’ve seen a ton of rumors and leaks regarding this smartphone, and Huawei’s Director of Marketing Communications even confirmed that the company will launch this handset on April 15 in London. Basically everyone expected Huawei to show up at MWC in Barcelona next month and showcase this thing, but it seems like that won’t happen, the company intends to hold a separate event where they will release this thing.
Many details leaked regarding this smartphone, and as far as the design goes, many of them were mentioning that this device will be extremely this and really good looking. Well, according to a new leak, the Huawei P8 could sport the ceramic build, we’ve actually stumbled upon similar rumors last year. The report states that Huawei intends to differentiate by doing that and, of course, offer a really well-built smartphone. The report also mentions that Corning Gorilla Glass 3 will be placed on top of the display, but we could already assume that. That’s not all though, the device will be only 6mm thick according to this information, which is interesting and kind of bad news at the same time. I don’t know why manufacturers are so obsessed with making smartphone so thin, that really doesn’t give them enough space to include a decent battery on the inside, and I’m afraid this device might have the same problem. I’m only guessing at this point though, let’s wait and see what happens.
According to previous leaks, this handset will feature a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and a 2,600mAh battery. HiSilicon Kirin 930 octa-core processor is said to power on this thing and the device is expected to ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top of it, of course. That’s all we know thus far, well, what we think we know thus far. This phone will launch in about 2 months, but I’m sure we’ll see much more leaks and rumors until that happens, so stay tuned for that, we might get some useful additional info soon.
