Samsung's Galaxy S6 As Well As The LG G4 Rumored To Come With Dual Camera Setup

Up until now there hasn’t been a device that has really deployed the use of the dual camera design on a smartphone besides HTC with the One M8 last year. Rumors are once again starting to surface though that the Samsung Galaxy S6 may come with a dual camera setup, after having heard a rumor surface about the possible feature at the end of last November. The new rumor about the dual camera design on the Galaxy S6 comes out of a Korean media website called inews24, which is also claiming that Samsung’s biggest rival, LG, will deploy the LG G4 with a dual camera design. Seeing as how both phones are to compete with each other as flagship devices from both companies, we can understand how some could believe that Samsung and LG would do their best to offer compelling features to customers in an attempt best the other.

It’s important to keep in mind that these are both just rumors for now, but don’t forget this is the second time we’ve heard this rumor about the Galaxy S6. Having said that, so far from what we’ve seen in regards to the Galaxy S6’s body design, as well as the alleged leaked images of cases belonging to the new device, there doesn’t appear to be a second camera in the mix, so take this rumor with a grain of salt for now.

As for the LG G4, although there is nothing to suggest that LG may have been developing the G4 with a second camera, there is nothing to support the rumor. On the other hand, there is nothing to really discount such a claim at this point either. If either OEM has plans to implement a dual camera design on their new phones this year, we have to wonder what they would do differently from HTC to make it something that consumers will care about. While the Duo Camera was cool and it made for some interesting depth of field photos, focusing more on the actual quality of the main camera and the images it can produce seems like a better use of time. What do you think about the possibility of a dual camera in the Galaxy S6 or the LG G4?
