Lita is an Android app that’s sort of like a social network for those keen on sharing funny stories, funny pictures and exciting videos from around the web and those you’ve created yourself. I say it’s sort of a social network, but it really works by going through Facebook and Twitter, but you can look at posts and create your own within the Lita app to share with others. Lita reminds me a lot of how some people use Snapchat, “for the LOLs”, but it all appears to be a lot more polished, and an experience designed for those of all ages. Lita is an app all about finding something to laugh about and sharing your laughter with others. Read on to see how much fun Lita really is.
To get started with Lita yourself, you’ll first need to download the app from the Play Store. Normally, I’d say go ahead and sign up for an account, but it’s best to get a feel for what Lita has to offer by looking at the Hot and New posts. This way, you can see the sort of thing that people are sharing with Lita.
In each section, Hot and New, there are different sections that show pictures, text, videos and more. The text stories can be a little funnier than the pictures in my eyes, but it’s just nice that there’s a variety on offer here.
Don’t forget there are also videos to look at as well, some of which are really quite good fun.
If you want to start sharing your own pictures and funny videos on Lita, all you need to do is sign up for an account, or login with Facebook or Twitter.
I opted to log in with Facebook, and Lita does give you the option to post to all your friends on Facebook, or to tweak things. This way it’s up to you how you interact with Lita.
When creating a new post, you just need to have an image ready, or you can start typing if you want to share text. One thing that might become a little frustrating, is that you need to download every image from the web to share on Lita, unless you already have it of course. There’s no way to share a website to Lita from Chrome or even share an image to Lita from the gallery app. Still, this is a minor concern and adding some text to go with your image is fairly straight forward.
Altogether, I think Lita is an app that those obsessed with internet fun and memes will really enjoy. I have to admit that it would be easier if you could share things directly to the Lita app, but this is just a minor issue. Other than that, Lita is nice and easy to use and scrolling through funny pictures, videos and stories is easy and the app has a good-looking theme to it that sets it apart from others. What you share on Lita is up to you and the ability to share pictures, videos or just text gives people a lot of flexibility. You can also comment and like posts and shares within the app, which should help bring fun-loving posters together thanks to a common interest. There’s a lot to love about Lita, and for those that like things like 9GAG and Vine, Lita is a great addition to those things.

- Speed (4/5) – Lita runs nice and quickly, and waiting for images to load and such is far and few between.
- Theme (4/5) – The UI here is fairly good-looking, and the black/yellow theme is certainly a nice change from a lot of other apps on Android these days.
- Features (4/5) – A solid addition to other apps like it available on Android, Lita is worth taking a look at, especially if you’re into funny memes and that sort of thing.
- Overall (4/5) – Lita is good fun, and it’s designed to be all about things that make you laugh, and after spending a little time with the app I’ll agree with that. The people already using the service seem to be sharing some good quality stuff and I’ve already found some excellent posts to share with my friends and family to give them a chuckle or two.

- Easy to get to grips with thanks to a common layout used in other apps.
- Variety of content, like pictures, videos and text give users flexibility, as well as a lot of content to look through.
- Links together well with Facebook and Twitter, but doesn’t force users into sharing their content there; it’s easily managed.
- Easy to connect with others and share funny stuff with new friends.
Cons
- Users need to download every picture to share it as their own post, which can be complicated on some devices.
- Integration into Android’s share menu would make things much easier for users to post funny stuff from across the web.
All-in-all, there’s a lot to love about Lita, and while it could be easier to share content from the web through it, it’s a great little social network in its own rite. It’s not trying to be another Instagram or Snapchat though, instead it hooks into Facebook and Twitter (Google+ integration would be nice as well) to help make those funny posts go even further. For those looking for another funny outlet to help unwind after a long day at work, or a pick-me-up on their lunch breaks, Lita is good fun and meme-lovers will absolutely love it.
