We’ve been waiting for Verizon to finally release the Nexus 6 for quite a while. Google announced the Nexus 6 last November and announced that it would be available on all four major US carriers. While Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T have all announced availability and have since made it available, we haven’t heard a word from Verizon about when it’d be available. We’ve seen numerous leaks about when the Nexus 6 would be available on Verizon, but so far nothing concrete or really official. The latest has been that the Nexus 6 would be available on Feb. 26th. Which is tomorrow.
Now we’ve got a full 360-GIF of the Verizon Nexus 6, complete with the Verizon logo on the back below the Nexus logo. You can check it out above. It looks nice! But when will it finally be available? Hopefully Verizon users won’t have to wait much longer. Other than that, there’s nothing different about this version compared to the version from Google Play, Motorola, T-Mobile, AT&T or Sprint. However, when you power it on, that might be another story. As we found out with the other carriers, they can install bloatware. So that when you put in an AT&T SIM card you get their bloat, and same for Sprint and T-Mobile. For T-Mobile it’s just the T-Mobile MyAccount app, but for Verizon it may be a bit more. We’ll have to wait and see.
So that’s the Verizon Nexus 6. Now we just need it to be made available on big red. I don’t expect it to be a crazy big seller though seeing as users can buy the Google Play model and insert their Verizon SIM with no issues, but at least you’ll be able to get it on contract or Verizon EDGE soon. Could it be tomorrow? We’ll have to wait and see, but hopefully it’s not too much longer. How many of our readers are awaiting the Verizon Nexus 6? Let us know in the comments below.
