Xiaomi Mi Note Gets Shot At In This Video, Literally

Xiaomi is one of the fastest growing smartphone manufacturers in the world. This China-based company doesn’t manufacture only smartphones though, they dabble in all kinds of things, but their growth-rate is staggering, no matter which way you look at it. They’re currently the number 1 smartphone manufacturer in China, and the third one globally, which is quite a feat for a company which was founded back in 2010. This Chinese manufacturer has released a slew of smart devices this year already, but the two that got the most attention were definitely the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro smartphones. These two devices look the same on the outside, but do differ quite a bit in terms of specifications, more on that later though.

The Mi Note is already available officially in China, and can be purchase via certain resellers worldwide, while the Mi Note Pro will be available soon. That being said, a rather interesting video popped up in China, and GizmoChina uploaded it to YouTube. If you take a look at the embedded video below this article, you’ll get to see the Mi Note gets shot at, and I mean that literally. This video has been filmed by professionals, and it is quite possible Xiaomi arranged it, though we can’t confirm any of that. The protagonist wears a professional bulletproof vest and shoots at the device from a rifle, the video itself is edited of course and lets you see the action in slow motion. This video is pure fun and they’re not trying to prove anything by doing this, so if you’re interested, scroll down, the video is embedded below the article, as I already mentioned.

As far as specs go, the Xiaomi Mi Note and Mi Note Pro look identical on the outside, they even both sport a 5.7-inch display, but the difference is in the screen’s resolution. The Mi Note’s display offers full HD 1080p (1920 x 1080) resolution, while the Mi Note Pro’s display features a 2K resolution (2560 x 1440). This is not the only difference between the two devices, the Mi Note is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 quad-core chip and offers 3GB of RAM, while the Mi Note Pro ships with a Snapdragon 810, a 64-bit octa-core chip and features 4GB of RAM. The Mi Note Pro has a slightly bigger battery on the inside, but that’s it, every other spec is basically identical here. These handsets ship with 13 and 4-megapixel cameras on the back and front of this device, respectively. The 13-megapixel snapper offers OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and is flanked by a dual-LED, dual tone flash. The front-facing camera offers 2um pixel size.
