You guys, we are so excited to have another Yahoo director with us on the next Android Headlines Show. Stephane Karoubi, the Senior Director of Engineering for Yahoo’s Native Mobile Apps will be on the show answering questions and chatting with us. Karoubi got his start as a software engineer at Microsoft, working his way to up a senior manager level working on Microsoft’s mobile and social apps. He moved to Yahoo in 2011 as a Director of Engineering for Yahoo’s native mobile apps division. He’s now a senior director handling Yahoo’s awesome apps, particularly their Weather app.
We are going to be asking Karoubi some questions about how Yahoo builds out their apps, how the culture has changed as they have picked up apps and companies like Aviate and Tumblr, and some technical stuff about Yahoo Weather and Flickr integration. We’ll be diving into his back story a bit as well. I want to hear about Microsoft and how he made the switch to Yahoo. Microsoft is focusing heavily on mobile apps, an area that Yahoo is targeting hard as well. We will be talking to him about all of this and more on the Android Headlines Show tomorrow night.
