Wunderlist gets Material Design Update
This week, one of the more popular apps that’s available on both iOS and Android, Wunderlist, got a nice update to Material Design. The app also added folders as well as better Lollipop support. The new design looks really amazing, and we urge you to check it out.
Evernote updated to v7.0
Evernote also joined the Material Design group this week with it’s latest update. Evernote is probably everyone’s favorite note-taking app and now it has material design. This week’s update also brought in customizable quick-notes for those that use quick-notes in Evernote.
Chrome for Android 41 brings Pull to Reload and More
This week, Chrome 41 for Android hit the Play Store. It brought a few new features, but probably the most interesting, and most talked about feature is the Pull to reload. So now if you’re on a website, like Android Headlines, you can simply pull down and reload the page or refresh it. Pretty neat. You can also enable site notifications with this update, which is pretty neat.
Pocket Casts also joins the Material Design Club
If you aren’t using Pocket Casts, you should be. This week, Pocket Casts updated their app to be completely material. And it looks amazing. Make sure you subscribe to Android Headlines on Pocket Casts as well!
Twitter testing a floating button in their Official App?
Looks like Twitter is finally getting the material design stuff down. We’ve seen them add in a few aspects of material design already. The floating action bar is currently being tested in the Twitter app, likely only to alpha users. But it’d definitely be a nice replacement for that bar that sits at the bottom of the app.
Pandora Update brings in Google Now integration
You may remember that recently Google announced that some apps would be integrated into Google Now. So you can get cards from various apps. Well Pandora has just updated to version 5.8 and now you’ll get some nice Google Now cards for recommended radio stations. Pretty neat. That’s really all that’s new in this update though.
