HTC One M9 Now Available to Pre-Order on Amazon

Last week the four carriers here in the US finally announced availability of HTC’s newest smartphone, the One M9. Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile all began pre-orders last Friday – March 27th – and Verizon is starting theirs on April 1st. Now, Amazon has started pre-orders for the AT&T, Sprint and Unlocked variants of the HTC One M9. The AT&T and Sprint models are going for $199 on a new contract, and available in both Gunmetal Gray and Gold on Silver. Additionally, they are not offering AT&T Next with the HTC One M9. At least not yet. The off-contract models are retailing for $708.99 on AT&T and $749 on Sprint. While the unlocked models are going for $649. So unless you’re on Sprint, I’d urge you to get the unlocked model, over the off-contract one. As the major differences are the price, and the fact that the unlocked one is actually unlocked. While the off-contract model is not.

We just posted our review of the HTC One M9 this morning – you can check that out here if you haven’t already done so. HTC has packed some killer specs in the One M9. Which includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset. That is a 64-bit SoC. There’s also 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a microSD card slot. HTC has also upped the ante and added a 20-megapixel camera on the back, and moved the UltraPixel camera around front this time around.  HTC did decide to stick with a 5-inch 1080p display, instead of jumping on the QHD bandwagon with everyone else. Which is a decision that we agree with, but their customers may not. While the HTC One M9 does feature the Snapdragon 810, which we’ve heard does overheat. In our review, we came to the conclusion that it’s not a big deal and you need not worry about your $700 smartphone overheating from general usage.

The HTC One M9 is slated to be available on April 10th, at Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon. You can pre-order your HTC One M9 now from Amazon as well as HTC’s website and Best Buy. The Samsung Galaxy S6 will also be available on April 10th. It’s going to be a busy day for a lot of wallets around here.
