Lenovo makes the TAB 2 A10-70 Official at Mobile World Congress 2015

Lenovo has just announced a couple of new tablets here in Barcelona. One is the Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70. Which is a 10-inch tablet, as I’m sure you figured out from the name. It’s running on Android 4.4 with a MediaTek processor (MT8165 for the WiFi model and the MT8732 for the 4G LTE model). Additionally it’s just 8.9mm thin and weighs in at about 509 grams. The display is full HD, so not quite the 2560×1600 we’ve grown accustom too, but not bad either. It also features dual band WiFi along with a 8MP rear facing camera. Lenovo is adding the price tag of just $200 to this tablet. Not a bad price at all.

“Now consumers can have it all – a large screen tablet that’s thin and light and also stocked with a number of multimedia and performance-optimized features. Since many people use their tablet for relaxing with digital content, users will love the tablet’s 10.1-in FHD screen, making it easy to get close to the gaming action or watch movies in brilliantly sharp resolution. To complete the audio-visual technology feast, we’ve equipped the tablet with Dolby Atmos®, making it the first 10-in Android tablet to include this moving cinematic sound technology. Users can crank up the volume and enjoy extremely rich and powerful sound through the multi-speaker soundbar, an impressive offering for such a compact tablet. We’ve made staying connected longer easy with up to ten hours of battery life on a single charge.”

Lenovo will be releasing the TAB 2 A10-70 in Pearl White, and Midnight Blue. Lenovo will have the TAB 2 A10-70 available in April of this year for just $199 for the WiFi model and $279 for the US LTE model. So expect that in about a month or two. It will also be available worldwide, so it will be available here in the US and also in Europe. That’s a pretty big deal since most of Lenovo’s products they announce are normally not coming to the US.
