Huawei has announced a bunch of new devices at MWC 2015 in Barcelona, including the sleek-looking Android Wear smartwatch, which we’re here to take a look at as the matter a fact. We’ve already covered the announcement of this thing, and have now managed to get close to it and get some shots of Huawei’s newly-announced watch. This is yet another addition to the Android Wear-powered smartwatches out in the market, and a really worthy addition at that. This thing features a really sleek stainless steel body and can be considered one of the bigger surprises of this year’s MWC. Anyhow, this thing sports a stainless steel chassis, we’re talking about a 316L corrosive-resistant, cold-forged stainless steel body here. The watch features a 1.4-inch 400 x 400 (286ppi) AMOLED display and as you can see it’s round. There’s a sapphire crystal lens on top of that screen in order to protect it. The watch is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chip clocked at 1.2GHz and it ships with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. Bluetooth 4.1 is also a part of the package here, and the watch also has a heart-rate monitor built-in. Barometer and a six-axis motion sensor are built-in here, and the watch looks really good all around, if this is your style, of course.
It is kind of obvious that Huawei is trying to appeal to consumers with their stylish design lately, several of their devices last year sported really great hardware design, and the Huawei Watch is no different. This thing is elegant, and even though it’s not for everyone, this is definitely a worthy competitor to the Moto 360. What are your thoughts here, do you like this watch?
