Many manufacturers are showcasing their products at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, and we’re trying to get as many hands-ons as we possibly can. Acer has announced several devices at the show two days ago, we’ve already covered all of their announcements, and are here to take a look at their entry-level Liquid Z220 handset. We played around with this device for some time and managed to capture a few shots of it as well for you to take a look at. You can find these images in the gallery down below.
The Liquid Z220 is not much to look at due to those rather thick bezels, but keep in mind that this is an entry-level device, and considering its price, this might even be a good offering. The Acer Liquid Z220 sports a 4-inch 800 x 480 display, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internals storage (expandable via microSD card). Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 dual-core processor running at 1.2GHz is powering on this handset. 5-megapixel snapper is available at the back of this device along with an LED flash, while there’s a 2-megapixel shooter located on the phone’s front side. 1,300mAh battery will ship with this handset and we’re talking about a dual SIM phone here. The Acer Liquid Z220 comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed with Acer’s own skin on top of Google’s operating system. The phone measures 126 x 65 x 9.8mm and comes with 3G connectivity, no 4G LTE available here unfortunately, but that was to be expected considering its price.
How much will this thing cost? Well, the Liquid Z220 model will set you back only €89 ($100) should you choose to buy it, and it will be available in March.
