Archos is a French electronics company which, like many others, have decided to showcase their products at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. This company has introduced their new Archos 50 Oxygen+ device, and is now showcasing it on the show floor. We stopped by Archos’ booth and played around with the Archos 50 Oxygen+. The device’s design is rather plain and non-intrusive. It is made out of plastic, and you’ll see the multitasking, home and back capacitive buttons below the display. The Archos 50 Oxygen+ sports a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage which you can also expand via microSD card up to 64GB if you need more storage. MediaTek’s MT6592 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz is under the hood here and powers up this device, and a 2,000mAh battery ships with this thing. 8-megapixel snapper is available on the back of this thing, we’re talking about a BSI sensors here which should help with low-light shots. 5-megapixel shooter can be found on the front side of Archos’ flagship. This handset supports 3G HSPA+ connectivity, no 4G LTE here, and you can also insert 2 SIM cards in it if you need to. NFC is also included here, and Android 4.4 KitKat (stock Android, basically) comes pre-installed on the Archos 50 Oxygen+.
