Vivo is one of the many China-based smartphone manufacturers. This company currently owns one of the thinnest smartphones in the world, the Vivo X5 Max. The company has announced the X5 Max+ handset quite recently, if you’d like to read more about that, click here. We’re here to talk about the Vivo Xshot, a device which the company announced back in 2014. We managed to get some hands-on time with this handset at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, and have decided to share the experience with you. The Vivo Xshot features a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD display and an 8-megapixel camera on the front, along with the LED flash next to it. This device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz which comes with an Adreno 330 GPU. This device is actually available in two variants, the 2GB variant with 16GB of internal storage, and the 3GB model with 32GB of built-in storage, that’s the only difference between these two variants. This handset also sports a 13-megapixel OIS camera on the back which is flanked by a dual-LED flash. 2,600mAh battery ships with this device, and Android 4.3 JellyBean comes pre-installed here with Vivo’s UI on top of Google’s operating system. This device offers 4G LTE connectivity, measures 146.5 x 73.3 x 8mm and weighs 148 grams.
