New App From LinkedIn Now Available On The Play Store Offering The Ability To Search For A New Job

Looking for a job can be a difficult task at the best of times. Of course, that task has been made significantly easier since the birth of the internet. Now, bombarding businesses with your resume is much easier than having to walk business to business with the ability to send to mass businesses over a small amount of time. Following on from this ‘evolution of applying’ came the worlds of smartphones and apps. As such, nowadays, applying for a job (or at least checking out your options) can all be done from the palm of your hand.

In fact, if you are one of those who are an avid user of the LinkedIn network, then you will be happy with the news today. It seems LinkedIn have now launched a new official app to the Play Store. For those unfamiliar with LinkedIn, this is a service which adds a sort of social network element to career networking. A way to keep in touch with people who might be beneficial to you or you to them. Not to mention, they already have a Connected App on the Play store to help facilitate their service. The only problem with LinkedIn is that sometimes it can feel more social based than actual work-based. Especially, if you are someone in the process of looking for new employment.

To these users, you will be happy to know that the new app being offered by LinkedIn is a dedicated job searching app. Not to mention, it has the ability to be synced with your online LinkedIn account meaning you can apply directly for a job using your LinkedIn information. The app will also track (for you, not everyone else) the jobs you have applied for and will even advise you if you know anyone at the company that you are applying to. Not to mention, the app will provide you with notifications of jobs you might be interested in, for those that are not exactly job searching but are open to offers. Best of all, the app listing specifically states that what you do on the app will remain private and will not be marked on your online LinkedIn profile. If you are interested in downloading the app, it’s free and available now from the Play Store.
