The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is the talk of the town these days. The show is still going strong and all kinds of great tech gadgets are being showcased there. We’ve already covered a ton of stuff, and the launch of HTC One (M9) was one of the key points of this year’s Mobile World Congress. That being said, we’re not here to talk about the One (M9), but will talk about an another HTC-branded device, alleged device that is. @upleaks is at it again, the leaker released some information about the HTC One (E9) device, a rather unknown handset. As always, take the following information with a pinch of salt.
@upleaks shared rather details leak this time around, saying that this handset will be released at the end of March, and that it carries the model name ‘A55’. This device will allegedly feature a 5.5-inch WQHD display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The leaker says that MediaTek’s MT6795 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz will power on this device, and that the handset will ship with a rather small battery unit. 20-megapixel camera will reportedly be located on the back of this device, and according to the leaker, the device will also ship in two versions. The standard version will come with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera, and the higher-end version will ship with a 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera on the front. Android 5.0 Lollipop will come pre-installed out of the box, and HTC’s Sense 7 will be installed on top of Google’s operating system. The front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers will be a part of the package as well.
The leaker says that the device will be available in White Rose Gold, Metallic Gray and Brown Gold color options. DotView Case, Clear Case and Leather Case will allegedly be available for this device from HTC. There you have it folks, if this rumor is true, we could see HTC launch the bigger version of the One (M9) rather soon, powered by MediaTek’s chip instead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon unit. If this news is legit, this device might launch in China first, though it will hardly be a China-only deal. Your thoughts?
