Xiaomi has released their new flagship devices back in January, the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro. Both of these devices sport premium build and are quite powerful in terms of specs. The Mi Note Pro offers a somewhat higher-end spec sheet, but the Mi Note is quite powerful in its own regard. That being said, the Mi Note is the only one of the two that is currently available out in the market, the Mi Note Pro will be available soon. Xiaomi decided to announce something rather interesting yesterday, this China-based company unveiled a special bamboo version of the Mi Note.
This “special edition” handset is identical to the regular Mi Note in every regard, except if sports the bamboo back cover. What’s interesting here, is that Xiaomi decided not to change this handset’s price, it costs the same as the regular Mi Note, which is great. Anyhow, soon after the launch of this new Mi Note version, rumors started appearing regarding the Mi Pad, company’s Android-powered tablet. Those rumors are saying that this Chinese tech company is getting ready to launch the bamboo version of the Mi Pad as well, and soon. Xiaomi’s tablet launched back in March 2014, which means that the company will quite probably release its successor soon, but we might see a bamboo version of the current-gen MiPad before that happens. The rumors are saying that the bamboo version of Xiaomi’s tablet will also keep the same pricing to the original, just like it was the case with the Mi Note. The Mi Pad is a Tegra K1-powered which sports 2GB of RAM and comes with a 7.9-inch 2048 x 1536 resolution display. That being said, we haven’t seen any official hint from Xiaomi that something like that might happen in the future, but who knows. The company will almost certainly unveil the new MiPad in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for that.
