While most consumers may not see the benefits of buying up something like the Oculus Rift development kit which costs considerably more, the Gear VR’s capability to bring smartphone-based virtual reality experiences to users allows consumers to obtain the unit at a much more affordable cost than anything else currently available.
As of right now, the Gear VR Innovator Edition gives consumers access to a small, but growing, list of content including apps and games that fully immerse the user in 3D worlds. Pair this with an on-ear or over-the-ear headset and the experience can really be taken to the next level.
