Since the release of the Samsung Galaxy S6, users seem to be liking the new look of the latest flagship device. The Samsung Galaxy S6 does look to be a step away in terms of style, presentation and features, compared to what had been seen in the past from the South Korean tech giant. One of the features in particular, which is being touted for the Galaxy S6 and has generated headlines, is the toning down of bloatware compared to previous incarnations. In fact, it was only this morning that it was reported apps on the Galaxy S6 will be far more easily able to be deleted off of the device. Including apps considered bloatware.
That said, the news has also been reporting that some of the Samsung bloatware is not exactly disappearing completely but instead seems to be being replaced by Microsoft apps. The news was that Samsung had gone into some sort of partnership with Microsoft to bring a number of their apps as preinstalled options on the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Well, following on from this, Samsung have today announced that this Samsung/Microsoft crossover will not be reserved just for latest flagship device and its Edge counterpart. In a press release provided by Samsung (source link below), Samsung have announced that Microsoft preinstalled apps will come installed on a number of Samsung Tablets in 2015.
The press release did not state which tablets specifically would be the ones slated to include Microsoft apps. However, the press release does state that on these android tablets, Microsoft apps including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, One Drive and Skype will all be included out of the box. In the announcement, Samsung also advise that businesses who opt for Samsung devices (through business-to-business sales channels) will be able to make use of three different versions of Microsoft Office 365 (Business, Business Premium and Enterprise). Not to mention, these services will also come aligned with Samsung’s security feature, Samsung KNOX. There was no firm date on when the Samsung/Microsoft android tablets will hit the market although it was noted as tablets due for release in the first half of 2015.
