More exciting news about the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge! After learning yesterday that all three mutual colors – Black Sapphire, White Pearl and Gold Platinum – would all be available to purchase on April 10, today we find out that the display kiosks have been set up in select carriers’ stores. Now you can go down to your neighborhood wireless carrier store and actually pick up the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge to hold and play with them before you pre-order. Rogers and Bell have both confirmed the installation, but all carriers will have them in-house for your review – call first, just to make sure they are up in your particular store.
Ever since the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge models were introduced to the world at MWC, Samsung has been busy promoting the smartphone through videos that highlight certain features of the device and unboxings shown on YouTube. Now it is time for Canada’s carriers to start their own push, and what better way than to actually have the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in the stores so eager and curious customers can have that hands-on experience. The devices are not cheap, even on a two-year term – it’s so much easier to depart with your cash when you can visually see and physically touch the device. The cheapest 32GB Galaxy S6 will cost you $250 and the most expensive 128GB Galaxy S6 Edge will set you back $570.
The newest Samsung flagship is a total redesign from the ground up – made from aircraft grade aluminum and Gorilla Glass 4, it is a solid device that looks premium from every angle and easy to hold and use. Missing is the Qualcomm processor and in its place is Samsung’s own, faster Exynos 64-bit octa-core. Gone is the memory card expansion as it would interfere with Samsung’s new flash memory that is so fast, a microSD card would slow it down. No more removable battery as Samsung’s new battery will easily last a full day and can be charged up to four hours of usage in only 10 minutes!
