Samsung is Now the Second Most Valuable Brand, Between Apple and Google

Apple has been a very valuable brand for quite a while, and so has Google. But now it looks like Samsung has been able to get in the middle of the two of them. Apple still has a pretty big lead, though. Sitting at 128.3 billion, with Samsung at 81.7 billion and Google at 76.6 billion. Following those three are Microsoft, Verizon, AT&T, Amazon, GE, China Mobile and Walmart. No real surprises here, although it is surprising to see AT&T and Verizon up there, considering this the world’s most valuable brands and not the US.

This research comes from firm Brand Finance. You can check out the infographic down below to see the numbers for all of these companies. We’ve known that Samsung has been a pretty big company for quite some time, it’s not really a secret. Samsung, literally makes everything. From processor, to displays, to batteries, to smartphones, to tablets, to TV’s, to laptops, to washers and dryers. If there’s anything electrical, chances are they make something similar. LG is the same way, actually. But I’m going to guess that the fact that Samsung makes many of the components of the iPhone and the fact that the Galaxy line is so popular, has helped propel Samsung ahead of it’s hometown competitor, LG.

Even with Samsung having a “bad year” last year with the Galaxy S5. Samsung still managed to become the second most valuable brand in the world. Great job  Samsung and to all of your employees. Samsung just announced the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge this past week in Barcelona, so it’s likely that their numbers are going to rise in the next few months. Will be interesting to see if Samsung can overtake Apple though. Any bets on when that will happen? Let us know in the comments down below.
