Samsung’s new Galaxy S6 is more than just a pretty face – Samsung has used some of the most advanced hardware available today and that hardware was designed and made by Samsung. First, we have the great physical unibody design with a solid metal body made from the same aluminum used in aircraft – it will not bend – and Gorilla Glass 4 on the front and the back.
The video describes Samsung’s new LPDDR4 system RAM – much faster than the standard DDR3 RAM. Samsung did not stop with the RAM, but also used their new and faster UFS 2.0 Flash memory in 32GB/64GB/128GB increments. The main processor is a homegrown Exynos 7420 – the world’s first with 14nm 64-bit architecture with octa-core technology with four cores clocked at 1.5GHz and four cores clocked at 2.1GHz. The 14nm makes for more efficient operations and is easier on the battery life. The speed of the processor, RAM and Flash memory make for quick gaming and hardcore video needs.
To optimize your phone, the new Smart Manager will help you clean up your RAM, Storage, Battery and Security (Samsung KNOX) and offers real-time protection. The battery and Samsung’s super charging capabilities will help you charge your battery as fast as possible – four hours of average usage after only a 10-minute charge. You also have access to Samsung’s Ultra Power Saving Mode (UPSM) to stretch the remaining battery life when no charge is available. The Galaxy S6 also incorporates built-in wireless charging capabilities – it is WPC and PMA compatible, meaning it should charge on just about any nearby wireless charging pad. Samsung also introduced a couple new take a long Battery Packs.
The new Galaxy S6 is also Samsung Pay ready – you can shop and pay for merchandise via NFC (like Apple Pay), but you can also pay at all merchants that use either a Barcode reader or the credit card swipe terminal (MST) – which is just about everybody. Samsung Pay does not limit where you can make a purchase and they have already partnered with Visa, MasterCard, and some of the largest banks around the world.
