It’s Friday and time for another top homescreen design, so if you’re bored of your current setup or you simply like trying out new designs often, we’ve got a rather great pick for you this week. This week, our top homescreen design is called Flip Card created by David Pitoko, and just like the name the on-screen widgets look like cards being opened up and flipped through with a material design style of color. If you like this design and want to set it up for yourself, we’ll go over what apps you need to install to recreate this look, and give you the basics of how to get it up and running.
First and foremost you will need at least two apps to recreate this homescreen design. A third party home launcher, so you can customize and modify the homescreen elements,(Nova Launcher regular or Prime is the recommended launcher here)Zooper Widgets Pro so you can place the widget files on screen, Media Utilities for the music configuration on the music portion of the widget, and popup widgets. Lastly, you’ll need the Zooper widgets themselves, which you can find here in the Play Store for $1.00.
Once you have everything installed, the setup is simple. Go into Nova settings and make sure your homescreen grid size is set to 6 x 6, then proceed to hide the status bar, the navigation bar, and the dock on the homescreen. There is only one page for this homescreen setup this time around and two widgets total. Simply set your desired wallpaper, long press on the homescreen, select Zooper widget of any size, place the premade widgets and resize as needed. Configuring Media Utilities will be your last step, simply open up the app, enter into the settings menu, select Zooper Widget, and then options for cover art, sound progress, and hit done. That’s it. If you like this design, be sure to show some appreciation for the creator by hitting the “love” button on the mycolorscreen page. Have a great weekend and happy theming!
