Android How To: Take A Screenshot on the Galaxy S6 Edge

Just pick up a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge? Well we’re here to help you out. With new devices, we do more than just review them. We also break them down and show you all the things you can do with the device. That includes simple things like taking a screenshot. Which we are going to show you how to do that today.

Taking a screenshot on Samsung devices has always been different from other devices. Typically you press Power and Volume down on any other Android smartphone. But Samsung does it differently, and there’s actually two ways to take a screenshot. The first way is to use the Power and Home button together to take a screenshot. You’ll see a quick little animation happen, and the screenshot will save and appear in the notification shade. From there you can view it, edit it, delete it or share it.

The second way is to swipe your palm over the screen. Which we’ve had that option since the Samsung Galaxy S3 back in 2012. Although it seems to be easier to use in the Galaxy S6 Edge than it was on the Galaxy S3. That could be due to the Edge display though. After you swipe your palm, you’ll see the same animation take place, and the screenshot will be saved into your notification drawer.

It’s very simple to take a screenshot on the Galaxy S6 Edge, although it may not always be apparent to everyone.
