T-Mobile and AT&T Start to Roll Out Camera Update for HTC One M9

 

HTC recently outlined a camera update that drastically improves performance of the HTC One M9’s camera, and now it’s rolling out to devices on T-Mobile and AT&T. The software version T-Mobile users are looking for is 1.32.531.33. Meanwhile the AT&T software version is 1.32.502.31. This tweaks the camera and changes some things in BlinkFeed, but for the most part you won’t actually notice a change, it’s more about under-the-hood sort of stuff. More info can be found here.

Android 5.1 For SHIELD Tablet Coming Soon, SHIELD Portable to Go Straight to 5.1

 

The SHIELD Tablet got Android 5.0 Lollipop fairly early on, and it was a great update however, the SHIELD Portable is still on Android 4.4 KitKat. Recently, NVIDIA have confirmed the Portable will go straight to Android 5.1, saying that “We decided to move to Android L 5.1 MR1 for the first Android L based OTA update for the SHIELD Portable. I understand people’s frustration with the long wait. It won’t be much longer.” Meanwhile, the SHIELD Tablet is getting Android 5.1 in the coming weeks along with many issues that users had noted with the Android 5.0 update being fixed.

Android 5.0 Lollipop Hits Sony Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3

 

The Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 Series have already been updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop. Now, it’s trickling down to the Xperia T2 Ultra with software version 19.3.A.0.470 hitting the D5303 model in parts of Europe. Meanwhile, the Xperia X3 is getting the same 19.3.A.0.470 update in Taiwan for D2533 models of the device.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 Getting Lollipop Update

 

The WiFi version of the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, the SM-T700, is getting Android 5.0.2 right about now. It’s only available in a few regions right now and carries a version number of T700KXU1BOD4. As with other Samsung devices, expect a few changes, but TouchWiz will feel much the same as it did before the update.

Sprint’s Spark Galaxy S4 Gets Lollipop Update

This week, Sprint is updating the Galaxy S4 to Android 5.0 Lollipop, well their Spark version at least. The Galaxy S4 on Spark is the faster version of the device and Android 5.0 Lollipop should make the actual device a little speedier as well. Those interested can read more here.

Android 5.1.1 Hits the Nexus Player

 

Android 5.1.1 is now rolling out, starting with the Nexus Player in a factory image form. It’s not clear just what this does, but we’re assuming bugfixes, perhaps of the memory leak kind. The factory image is available, as always, from here.
