AT&T Join The Rest Of The Major U.S. Carriers In Confirming They Will Carry The LG G4

In terms of news, today has most certainly been LG day. The other South Korean tech giant has been all of the news thanks to the release of their latest smartphone, the LG G4. Of course, this is not the first time the G4 has been heard of, as the device has been highly rumored and speculated upon prior to today’s unveiling. Now that the device has been finally unveiled, the speculation and rumors have come to an end. Now, it has been confirmed that the specs include a 5.5-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor. Not to mention a 16-megapixel rear shooter, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3,000mAh removable battery and running on Android 5.1 (Lollipop)

In fact, since then the unveiling, carriers have been busy making their intentions known that they do plan will be carrying the latest LG handset on their network. T-Mobile was quick in releasing their statement and even announced the launch of a contest in which users can pick up a free LG G4 in an early preview period. Since then, the other carriers have been following in suit declaring their intention to carry. Those included Verizon, Sprint and U.S. Cellular. However, at the time there was no proper word on the matter from AT&T.

Well, that has now changed as AT&T have now formally confirmed their intention to carry the LG G4 when it is released in the U.S. Unfortunately, just like the rest of the carriers, no details were actually provided by AT&T on when the device will be in stock or how much it will be available for. Instead, AT&T have only confirmed the G4 as “coming soon”. Although, the carrier has also made available the option to sign-up to receive emails on when the device will arrive on their network and be available to be purchased.
