If you follow mobile tech at all you’re very well aware that Samsung has announced their Galaxy S6 flagships last month. The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge devices are all over the news at the moment, and it has been that way for quite some time now. The two devices were available for pre-order for quite some time and are available for purchase for 4 days now, Samsung has launched both of these handsets in 20 markets all over the world on April 10th. Many carriers and retailers are now offering both of these devices on and off-contract, depending on where you purchase the device.
We’ve already covered the UK carrier availability of the Galaxy S6 flagships, and are here to report that both of them are now available from Carphone Warehouse as well. You can get the Galaxy S6 for £599.99 off-contract (32GB variant), there seems to be no such option fo the Galaxy S6 Edge though. Carphone Warehouse does offers all sorts of plans if you sign a contract, of course. If you’d like to know more about that, visit the source link down below. Both of these devices are available in Black, White and Gold color options. The Galaxy S6 is available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants, while you can get the Galaxy S6 Edge in 64GB and 128GB variants. The price will of course depend on which variant you pick.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are very similar to one another, they do look somewhat different due to the curved display on the sides of the Galaxy S6 Edge though. They also sport different battery units built-in, the Galaxy S6 features a 2,550mAh battery, and the Galaxy S6 Edge sports a 2,600mAh unit. Other than that, their specifications are the same. Both handsets feature a 5.1-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display along with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and various storage options (32, 64 and 128GB). Samsung’s Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor powers on these handsets and a 16-megapixel (OIS) camera is located on both of them. Android 5.0.2 comes pre-installed here with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top of it, and these two handsets sport metal unibody design which makes them first such devices to be manufactured by this Korea-based tech giant.
