Could This be Sony's Upcoming Selfie-Focused Xperia C4?

Last summer, Sony released the Xperia C3, a budget-minded smartphone that offered users some of the best that the Xperia smartphone line from Sony had to offer, but also an excellent selfie experience. That’s right, Sony’s Xperia C3 was mostly designed to take excellent selfies, and it lived up to that promise with a large front-facing camera complete with flash. Now, it appears that Sony is looking to release a new version of their Xperia C selfie smartphone, as an image of what could be the Xperia C4 has leaked out.

XperiaBlog have been sent a tip that contains what looks like a press image of the upcoming Xperia C4 and they’re pretty confident that this could be our first look at the upcoming smartphone. The device looks much like an Xperia Z3 or Xperia Z3 Compact with rounded edges and a redesigned power button, whereas last year’s Xperia C3 featured a design more like that of the Xperia Z2, with a lower placement for the speakers and so on. The Xperia C line of devices were never designed to be flagships or anything like that, the 5.5-inch 720p display and Snapdragon 400 used in the Xperia C3 pretty much confirmed just that. Instead, these are devices designed to be good fun and allow users to take great selfies to help them remember fun moments of their life.

The Xperia C3 was designed to be popular in China, and considering how big a craze the selfie is over there in the Far East, it wouldn’t surprise us if the Xperia C3 was enough of a success to warrant a follow-up like this device pictured here. Still, this is something to take with a grain of salt, as we haven’t heard anything from Sony yet, and there’s no telling if these leaked image is real or not. Although, those looking for a decent mid-range device that takes great photos and has a large display might want to hold off on their purchases for a little while longer, especially if taking a mean selfie is important to them.
