LG G4 is quite possibly the most talked-about device as of late. A number of major smartphone OEMs have already released their 2015 flagships, and LG is next in line. We’ve already seen a ton of leaks of the company’s upcoming flagships, and LG has also released a couple of official teasers. It seems like the LG G4 will sport genuine leather on the back (though other materials will be available as well, probably), the company’s event invitation and recent teaser videos basically confirm that. You can also expect the device to be slightly curved and sport LG’s well-known rear-facing button placement. The Laser Autofocus will make a comeback this time around as well, and the same can be said about the dual-LED flash which will be located on the back of the device. We’ve also witnessed a massive G4 leak which showed us the G4 in 3o pictures not too long ago.
That being said, this handset will launch on April 28th, and it seems like LG is preparing a dual-SIM version of the handset as well. A number of photos surfaced in Iran showing off the leather back and plastic back models of the LG G4. What’s interesting here is the icon in the bottom-right portion of the screen which seemingly confirms this is the dual-SIM variant of the device. These images once again confirm the design of the device itself, which we’ve seen many times before.
As previously mentioned, the LG G4 will be announced on April 28th during the company’s event in New York City. This handset is expected to feature a 5.5-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) display along with 3 or 4GB of RAM and multiple internal storage variants. The handset will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core or 810 64-bit octa-core processor. We’re still not sure, but the 808 route is quite possible due to Snapdragon 810’s tendency to heat up way too much. This handset will sport a 16-megapixel OIS camera (f/1.8 aperture) on the back, while you’ll be able to find an 8-megapixel snapper up front. Android 5.0 Lollipop will come pre-installed here with LG’s newly announced UX 4.0 on top of Google’s operating system.
