There are a ton of smartphone manufacturers in China and it’s really hard to differentiate and actually climb above the competition. OEMs like Xiaomi, Huawei, ZTE, Meizu and a couple more companies definitely managed to do that, but what about the rest? Well, there are quite a few companies that are doing a really good job lately and are doing their best to get under the spotlight. Elephone is a good example, the company is planning to announce two new beastly flagships soon, one of which will allegedly sport dual boot (Android Lollipop + Windows 10). That’s not all, we’ve talked about another Elephone-branded device recently which sports great set of specs along with a metal frame and an all around sleek design. The device in question is Elephone P7000, and we have some new info to push your way.
This handset will is now available for pre-order at GearBest for $229.99. The handset is available in three color options, Black, White and Champagne. In case you don’t know, GearBest is a reseller which ships devices worldwide, so in case you’re interested, it’s not a problem. You can pre-order this handset internationally until May 21st when pre-orders end.
Speaking of specs, let’s check out what it has to offer. The Elephone P7000 features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card). This handset is powered by MediaTek’s MT6752 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz which comes with a Mali-T760 GPU. On the back of this device you’ll find a 13-megapixel camera (Sony’s IMX214 sensor) flanked by an LED flash. The 5-megapixel snapper is available on the front of this device. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this handset with Elephone’s additions on top of Google’s OS. This handset also offers Dual-SIM (micro + mini) and 4G LTE connectivity (FDD LTE), just make sure you check the network frequency of your country / carrier before you purchase it though. The Elephone P7000 supports GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz / WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100MHz / FDD-LTE 800/1800/2100/2600MHz frequencies.
