pCloud
pCloud is a great little cloud storage application that gives you plenty of options for free, like 10GB of initial storage for all of your files, with up to 20GB for free in total. You can use pCloud to share your files with anyone in the world, and you can set access levels for each person you share files and data with, keeping you in control.
Mediafire
Mediafire is great because it offers more storage space for free up front, starting at 12GB, with the ability to earn up to 50GB of free storage total. You can set it to automatically backup your photos and videos and you can stream music and videos from within the app so you don’t have to exit to a standard media player.
SurDoc
SurDoc by far offers the most free cloud storage from any other app we’ve seen, starting users off with 100 GB and the ability to earn up to 1TB of space for free. More free storage is earned by inviting friends to use the service, and each referral that joins up gets you another 10GB of space at no charge. You can upload all your files, documents, photos, videos, and music securely and access it anywhere you can log into your account.
SugarSync
SugarSync allows you to store all kinds of files much like other services, and has other similar features like auto backup for photos and videos, and the ability for file syncing so you can view things offline which is pretty useful. SugarSync offers you 5GB of space for free but only offers it for a 90 day trial, afterwards you have to pay a membership fee for your chosen amount of storage.
Copy
Copy is like most other storage apps, it offers you free space for signing up, you can access your files anywhere you can log in, and you can share stuff with others relatively easily. With Copy you get 15GB for signing up, which is more than some and less than others, but where it differs is the ability to set which files that you’re sharing count against your storage limit, and it offers Chromecast support and great looking Material Design UI.
Dropbox
Dropbox is easily one of the most well-known storage apps out there as they’ve been around a while. With Dropbox you can easily share your files between devices and you get free storage for signing up although it’s much less than most other cloud services, set at 2GB to start. You can also earn more free space by referring people to use Dropbox, and it also features an automatic upload feature for photos and videos so you can back up pictures taken with your phone quickly and painlessly.
MEGA V1
MEGA V1 takes a little bit of a different approach to the secure idea of storage, as anything you store inside of their cloud storage servers is encrypted and decrypted by the client device instead of MEGA V1 themselves. On top of this they give you 50GB of storage space for free when signing up for an account.
Box
With Box you get 10GB of free space although you can add more if you want for a fee. It lets you preview more than 100 types of files which will be more than a lot of other storage services out there, and it supports powerpoint presentations so you can simply store the presentations in the cloud and carry things with you on your Android device. You can also add comments to documents and send feedback if you need to if you plan sharing files with others.
OneDrive
OneDrive is Microsoft’s solution to cloud storage and it’s become more open and compatible with non-windows devices. By signing up you get 15GB for free with the ability to earn up to an additional 5GB by referring friends at 500MB each. You can also get an additional 1TB of space if you have an Office365 account. With OneDrive all your files, photos, videos, and documents can be securely stored in one place and easily accessible across platforms.
Google Drive
Google Drive is one of the most versatile cloud storage apps out there. You get 15GB for free but no ability to earn extra storage through referrals. You can upload and store tons of different file types and access them across multiple platforms or anywhere you can log into the web, and you can access Docs and Sheets from within Drive to fast creation of new files. You can also move things around and organize easily with the drag and drop option now on Android.
