Huawei has recently announced their new P8 flagship line which consists out of three devices, the Huawei P8, P8 Lite and P8Max. That being said, we’ve already covered all of these three handsets extensively and are here to talk about something completely different. This China-based company has released quite a few interesting devices last year, Huawei P7, Ascend Mate 7, Honor 6 and Honor 6 Plus definitely belong amongst the company’s best devices of 2014. The company has just announced their new flagship line and we already have some additional info regarding one of their upcoming devices.
The device in question is the Huawei Honor 7, or Glory 7, depending on the market. The Huawei Honor 6 is still a really powerful handset which sports 3GB of RAM, a 5-inch 1080p display and is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 920 octa-core processor. One would assume that its successor will be a high-end offering as well, and according to the newest leak it definitely will. The alleged Glory 7 images and specifications leaked today, you can check out the images in a gallery down below.
As you can see, the device actually somewhat resembles the company’s Ascend Mate 7 phablet they released last year, it actually resembles it a whole lot. It seems like Huawei will use aluminum in order to build this device, and a fingerprint scanner will be present here. The fingerprint scanner wasn’t available on the Glory 6, but it was on the Ascend Mate 7. You can also see the camera sensors next to the fingerprint scanner and a dual-LED flash next to it. Honor branding is also present on the back of this device.
According to the source, this handset will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It will be powered by Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 930 or 935 octa-core processor and it will also ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top of it. The Huawei Honor 6 will reportedly be announced in June this year, which means we’ll see quite a few additional leaks before it launches. Either way, stay tuned, we’ll report back as soon as we get some additional info about this device.
UPDATE: Added two images in the gallery down below which allegedly show off the Huawei Honor 7 Plus as well. The two devices look really similar, though the fingerprint scanner is located in a different place in the ‘Plus’ variant, same goes for the dual-LED flash. The desing is somewhat different as well, we’ll know more when images of the front side leak.
UPDATE 2: According to new info, the device with the fingeprint scanner below the camera sensor is the Huawei Honor 7, and the one with the fingerprint scanner on the side is the Honor 7 Plus.
