Huawei is one of the biggest China-based smartphone OEMs, in fact, this company is actually one of the biggest smartphone OEMs globally. Huawei has been doing really well and managed to turn a significant profit in 2014, they’re looking to improve upon that this year though. The company has recently announced three new devices as part of their P8 flagship line, Huawei P8, P8 Lite and P8Max. The Huawei P8 is a significant improvement over the last year’s P7 handset, and the P8Max fills the gap of a huge phablet for Huawei, this handset is sporting a 6.8-inch display. That being said, Huawei still has to announce quite a few smartphones this year and it seems like a mid-range Honor 4C is next, read on.
We’ve talked about the Honor 4C mid-ranger yesterday when the device was listed on Huawei’s official website in Russia. On purpose or not, Huawei has revealed both the looks of this device, as well as its specifications. Well, it seems like the company will announce this device really soon. Huawei has released a new image on social media and by doing that basically announced the launch of the aforementioned Honor 4C handset. The image clearly says “4C” and states the date of its launch. This event will be held at the Beijing National Convention Center in less than a week and we’ll make sure to keep you informed.
That being said, let’s check out the specifications of this device. The Huawei Honor 4C will sport a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of in-built storage which you’ll be able to expand via a microSD card. Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 620 processor will power on this device along with a Mali-450 MP4 GPU. On the back of the Honor 4C you’ll be able to find a 13-megapixel camera (f/2.0 aperture) which will be flanked by an LED flash. The 5-megapixel snapper will be available on the front side of this handset and we’re talking about a handset which offers 4G LTE connection speeds. Android 5.0 Lollipop will come pre-installed on Huawei’s upcoming mid-ranger and the company will also pre-installed their very own Emotion UI (EMUI) 3.0 on top of Google’s OS. The listing on Huawei Russia has also revealed that this device will cost $174.
