LG G4 Leaked Again; This Time By Case Vendors On Amazon

LG has been teasing the new flagship in their lineup, the G4, for a while now. Just a few days ago, LG showed off the G4’s camera capabilities and on Thursday, its QHD screen, in promotional videos ahead of the official launch next week. There have been several leaks as well, from various sources, detailing the looks, specifications and benchmark scores that the device allegedly can conjure up in such tests. Now, in yet another such leak, quite a few accessory vendors on online retailer Amazon’s website have put on sale, cases for the about-to-be-released phone. This gives yet another look at the G4 before LG launches it officially. Of course, most people who follow such goings-on, won’t be surprised by the latest round of leaks, given that it has become the norm rather than the exception for most flagship devices to have their cases and accessories listed online alongside a render or two even before the official launch.

According to the leaks thus far, the LG G4 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor with a clock speed of 1.8 GHz, and not the current Qualcomm flagship, the octa-core Snapdragon 810, reportedly, out of over-heating concerns. Other specifications supposedly include a 5.5 inch QHD (2560 x 1440) screen, 3GB of RAM, 32 or 64 GB of storage options along with a microSD card slot and a 3,000 mAh battery. The rear camera will be a 16 megapixel one with an f/1.8 aperture, auto-focus and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). It will be accompanied with dual Xenon flash and the front selfie cam will be a 5.1 megapixel one. The phone will come with a whole host of sensors, and connectivity options will include LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi. On the software front, the phone will in all probability run on Android 5.1 Lollipop with LG’s propriety Optimus UI overlaid.

While most of the above is garnered from leaks and rumors, things are unlikely to change a great deal once LG decides to make it official. LG will be hoping that the phone makes a bigger impact than what the G3 did for them. There is no word currently on the pricing. Some of the cases listed on Amazon can be seen below.
