Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 was one of the hottest phones to come out in the Fall of 2014, and among the very best sellers for the year. Samsung did a lot right with the Note 4 and it’s easily the best Note phone they’ve ever made, dropping it handily into the “one of the best phones ever made” category as well. The Note 4 dropped when Android 4.4 KitKat was still the only thing around, and while Android 5.0 Lollipop came out about 2 months after the phone came out many Galaxy Note 4 owners are still wondering where their Android 5.0 Lollipop update is. Samsung started officially rolling out the update to various countries and models of the Note 4 in early March, and since then they’ve added countries to the list with every passing week.
This week the list of countries that are receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy Note 4 is growing. The United Arab Emirates, the Baltic Countries, India and Brazil can all now rest easy knowing the update is on the way to their phones via an easy to install over-the-air update found on their phones. If you’ve got a Galaxy Note 4 with either model SM-N910C or SM-N910G and haven’t received the Lollipop update notification quite yet, head on over to system settings, scroll down to About Phone and select Software Update. This will let you check to see if it has been rolled out for your specific device, but if it hasn’t just yet it will very soon. These sorts of updates always go out in stages and are only released to small batches of devices at a time.
At 999.43MB this is a significant update that you’re going to definitely want to download both while on WiFi and probably close to a charger too, as the download coupled with the installation is guaranteed to drain a good chunk of your battery not to mention data charges if you try to download it via your wireless carrier. Android 5.0 Lollipop is by far the biggest update Android has ever had, including some interesting changes to the volume controls that Samsung has altered themselves.
