Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 8.0 Specs Revealed While Spotted Passing Through TENAA

All the current talk at the moment in terms of Samsung revolves around their two latest flagship devices, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Both devices have caught the attention of everyone and seem to continuous be being met with approval from those who encounter them. However, they are not the only Samsung devices en route. One of those which now seems to be confirmed is the follow-up to last year’s Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 tablet (which has recently been reported to be on the way to the U.S. in a new 64-Bit processor variant) in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 8.0 tablet.

The Galaxy Tab 5 8.0 looks to have just passed through the Chinese alternative to the FCC, TENAA. As such, the now-typical TENAA images and specs have been revealed. In fact, the reports state that there are currently now two known versions of the Tab 5 8.0 which come with the respective model numbers SM-T355C and SM-P355C. That said, there does not seem to be that much of a difference between the models, with both touting the same specs. In terms of those specs, according to the TENAA listings, both models will come with an 8-inch AMOLED display. Which utilizes a 768 x 1024 resolution. Inside, the Tab 5 8.0 comes equipped with 2GB RAM along with a quad-core processor (clocking at 1.2GHz). In terms of cameras, both models come equipped with a 5-megapixel rear camera coupled with a 2-megapixel front-facing option. While in terms of storage, it seems there will be three storage options on offer. They are the standard storage increments including 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Not to mention, the devices will come with a MicroSD card slot which will offer a further 128GB of storage. By now, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the devices will come running on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) in the form of Android 5.0.2. With TouchWiz of course over the top.

They seem to be most of the known major details of what will be on offer with the Tab 5 8.0. Although, it is stated the devices will be available in the standard black and white colored options. Not to mention the device appears to be lighter and thinner than the previous model with the dimensions coming in at 208 — 138 — 7.4 mm. Likewise, the S-Pen stylus which will come with the device, seems to have been moved in placement and will now be located in the upper right-hand corner of the device. For now, pricing and availability remains unknown
