The HTC One M9 hasn’t been out for very long, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to start pushing out any software updates, especially if the phone is in need of any bug fixes or improvements. In the case of the HTC One M9, some users had reported there being a need for the camera software to be tweaked, and HTC promptly sent out updates for the T-Mobile and Sprint models of the HTC One M9 to fix or otherwise improve the camera experience. Now, AT&T is reported to be pushing out that very same update to their specific models so users should start to notice that the update package will be coming in to their devices sometime soon.
While camera improvements seem to be the main thing users have been discussing, camera improvements are not the only thing included in this software update. Along for the ride are of course the various bug fixes and improvements one can usually expect when any software update comes to their device, and HTC also notes in the changelog that the update includes thermal improvements as well, which is likely related to the CPU and heating of the device overall. As thermal heating issues have been a hot topic in regards to the phone since before its launch, it only seems natural HTC would want to make any improvements to the thermal nature of the phone even if the issues weren’t as bad as they were trumped up to be.
Those who are using AT&T’s network and who have purchased the HTC One M9, should make note that this update will push them forward to software build version 1.32.502.31. Although this is probably common sense for many users, HTC mentions all users should make sure that the software update being highlighted here is newer than the version they have on their devices before proceeding to download and install the update. Just as a quick refresh, if you’re unsure about what version of the software you’re on, you can check by heading to the settings menu, scrolling to find the about section and tap on that to enter. Scroll to find software information and under this category is where you can find the version of the software that your HTC One M9 device is running.
