This is what the LG G4's Camera is Capable of

In New York City yesterday, LG touted pretty heavily the camera of the G4. It may have been the biggest feature of the new smartphone, actually. The LG G4 has a slightly higher megapixel count this time around, jumping up to a 16MP sensor. But we also have a f/1.8 lens, and a color spectrum sensor. LG showed off quite a few pictures  in their presentation compared to other competitors (they didn’t name those competitors ironically). And the LG G4 looked amazing in comparison.

We picked up our LG G4 after the even yesterday and headed through the great city of New York and used the camera on the LG G4, and got some pretty amazing shots. We figured we should share them with you, our readers, as a sort of teaser before the full review. As it’s obviously way to early to have a full review put together.

So far, I’m really impressed with the LG G4. Not only does it take amazing pictures, but the shutter is also pretty fast. HTC has been using a pretty fast shutter for the last few smartphones, and now it looks like their competition has caught up. With both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and LG G4 having almost instant shutters. LG’s camera experience is still quite good. They have added a ton of features into the camera app, but still kept the app experience easy to use. Which is always important. They added in a manual mode as well, for those that like to tinker with the ISO, White Balance and all those other fun things. Which is great for those that are photographers. There’s also the auto-mode, which takes some breathtaking photos as well.

Now obviously, we aren’t complete done testing out this amazing camera. So you’ll be seeing more in the full review. But so far it’s looking good, and it might even be the best smartphone camera out there, even better than the “Next Big Thing”. We’ll have to do a camera shootout to see. LG has been doing well with cameras lately though, so this shouldn’t be a surprise.
