ChowNow is an online marketing and ordering platform dedicated to helping local restaurants market their brand and reach more customers with easy ways to search their menu through personalized mobile apps. The good news for clients of the ChowNow restaurant ordering apps is that the new partnership with Google sees the addition of the Google Wallet payment option included without any extra cost, so local food spots who have been using ChowNow’s platform will have an updated app that will now take payment from Google’s digital payment platform.
This also means that future clients who choose to use the ChowNow platform will be able to allow customers to pay for their orders with Google Wallet straight from the get-go. Using Google Wallet means that customers now have more options on how they choose to pay for their food, and it makes for a simpler all around experience as customers won’t have to enter their credit or debit card information every time they’re ready to place and pay for an order. Customers simply have to input their card information into Google Wallet and anytime they order from a local restaurant that supports ChowNow through an Android app, Google Wallet will be an easy option for payment at checkout using the “Buy With Google” button.
ChowNow mentions that with the addition of Google Wallet, ordering will become easier for customers, which should result in a decrease in the time it takes to place an order and in turn a faster time for delivery or pick up of food orders. This should help the restaurants who use ChowNow increase their volume of to-go orders and, in the long run, increase their business and revenue. Although paying for online orders certainly makes things more convenient, consumers will want to be reassured that paying for things digitally is secure, which is another enhancement that Google Wallet offers to consumers.
