ZTE Nubia Z9's Metal Chassis Leaks, Gets Compared To The Nubia Z9 Max Handset

We’ve talked about ZTE’s Nubia Z9 handset many times before. This is the last device that ZTE is going to release as part of their new Nubia Z9 flagship line of devices. The company has already released the Nubia Z9 Mini and Nubia Z9 Max, and it’s time for them to announce the bezel-less Nubia Z9 handset. The company’s General Manager has already confirmed that this handset will be ‘bezel-less’, which probably means we won’t see any bezel on the sides, though more or less everyone assumed that the company will put the frame on top of the side glass, and it seems like that will be the case.

We’ve seen numerous leaked images of the Nubia Z9 which confirmed the design of this handset over and over again, but this time around we have its chassis to share with you. The two images leaked in China showing off Nubia Z9’s alleged metal chassis which has very thin frame on the sides. The second image in the gallery down below even compares this chassis with the Nubia Z9 Max in order to give you an idea how big will this device be. Judging by the image, this handset will be somewhat shorter than the Nubia Z9 Max and significantly narrower due to those extremely slim frame bezels on the sides. The diagonal of the display might also be somewhat smaller here, though it’s hard to tell by looking at the image. The display is equally tall as the 5.5-inch panel on the Nubia Z9 Max, but it seems like it’s slightly narrower. Let’s take a wild guess here, the Nubia Z9 will sport a similar display to the Nubia Z9 Max, it will be somewhere between 5.2 and 5.5-inches big. That display will sport 1080p or QuadHD resolution by the way.

Other than the aforementioned display, the Nubia Z9 is expected to ship with 3 or 4GB of RAM and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 64-bit octa-core processor will quite probably power this handset. The Nubia Z9 will sport the same camera sensors as its two siblings, the Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini. The 16-megapixel OIS camera will be located on the back of this device, while you’ll be able to find an 8-megapixel snapper up front. Android 5.0.2 Lollipop will come pre-installed on this handset with ZTE’s Nubia 2.8 UI on top of Google’s OS. The Nubia Z9 will be announced on May 6, stay tuned.
