LG G Pad 8.3 LTE Gets Lollipop on Verizon

Android Wear 5.1.1 Starts to Hit G Watch and G Watch R Users
A select number of users around the globe have been reporting that the Android 5.1.1 update to Android Wear is hitting G Watch and G Watch R devices. This brings with it all of the changes outlined by Google some time ago, albeit WiFi which is coming to the G Watch R at a later date. The Android Wear version is listed as 1.1.1.1929530 and the Android version is of course Android 5.1.1.
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S 10.5 Gets Lollipop on Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon
The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 was one of the best tablets from last year and one that Samsung fans simply can’t do without. It’s been updated to Lollipop, well Android 5.0.2 at least, on T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon. This update shouldn’t change the overall experience of your device too much, but it will add some elements of Material Design to the device and should also give it a bit of speed boost as well.
Sprint’s Galaxy Note 4 Gets Small Update
The Galaxy Note 4 is still a great device, and after this most amazing update from Sprint it’ll get even better! Just my little joke, this update adds factory rest protection and – you guessed it! – bug fixes. “More” info here.
Google Brings Android 5.1.1 to the Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and Nexus 9 LTE
Android 5.1 not recent enough for you? How about a whole ‘nother point on the end? Well, if you’re rocking a Nexus 4, 5 or 9 with magical LTE powers then you’re in luck. If you haven’t received the update and want to take matters into your own hands then here we go: Nexus 4 OTA link, Nexus 5 link, Nexus 9 LTE link. You will need to be already on Android 5.0.2 for these updates to work, by the way.
Sony Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and Z Tablet Finally Get Lollipop Update
The Xperia Z line is finally catching up to the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 line this week. The Xperia Z LTE (C6603) and Xperia ZR (C5503) are getting software version 10.6.A.0.454, as are the Xperia ZL (C6502 (Taiwan only) and LTE C6506 (USA) versions) and Xperia Z Tablet, the SGP311, SGP321, SGP321 and SGP351 models. That’s a lot of Lollipop, and boy is it sweet.
Original Moto G Finally Gets Android 5.0.2 in the US
The original Moto G may well have gotten Lollipop elsewhere around the world, but here in the US things have taken a little longer, clearly. Finally though, the update is indeed happening, and those interested can take a look at Moto’s site here. As for Lollipop, our review can be found here.
Xperia Z Ultra, Z1 and Z1 Compact See the Return of the Close All Button
Just as they did with the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2 series, Sony is following up with an update to the Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z1 line of devices with a second Lollipop update. This still leaves the devices on Android 5.0.2, but adds the close all button back along with a slew of other fixes. This brings the devices to software version: 14.5.A.0.270.
