We haven’t heard from Panasonic in quite some time now. This Japan-based electronics corporation hasn’t announced that many smartphones this year, the last Panasonic-branded device we talked about was the Eluga U2. This mid-ranger has launched back in February and is available in select markets for quite some time now. Well, the company has just announced yet another mid-range device, this time in India, let’s see what it has to offer.
The Panasonic Eluga L 4G features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS OGS display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass protection on top of the panel itself. This handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core SoC clocked at 1.2GHz which comes with an Adreno 306 GPU. This handset sports 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable built-in storage (expandable up to 32GB). The 8-megapixel camera is located on the back of the Eluga L 4G and flanked by an LED flash, while there’s a 5-megapixel shooter located on the front side of this device. The Eluga L 4G is a dual SIM device which offers 4G LTE connectivity, and measures 142 x 71 x 6.1mm. This handset will ship with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed with Panasonic’s Fit Home UI on top of it, and we still don’t know how bit will its battery be.

The Business Head of Mobility Division at Panasonic India, Pankaj Rana, added the following: “The newly launched Smartphone ELUGA L will enable faster data transfer by not only providing a better bandwidth but also a quicker speed. As cellular data is a part of many people’s lives today, this phone will enable them to utilize the internet in a quicker and richer way thus opening new possibilities in the fast growing technology environment today”.
The Panasonic Eluga L 4G comes in Radiant Blue color only and will cost you Rs. 12,990 ($204) in case you intend to purchase it. Screen protector and a protective case are also a part of this package. This handset will be available for purchase in India soon.
