Each month we try to round up the best games that have recently launched and throw them into this list for you to check out. There were quite a few great games that came out in the month of May, so we narrowed it down to the top 10. There’s a bit of action, a bit role playing, a bit of strategy and a little adventure. Something for everyone.
Rival Kingdoms: Age Of Ruin
Rival Kingdoms is a mix between intense RTS action and MMO gameplay with single player and multiplayer PvP battles. The main goal is to build up your base and load it up with defenses, and as you band together with other kingdoms you can go on massive 300 player raids against other warring factions.
Twin Runners 2
Twin Runners 2 is an endless runner type game and the sequel to the original which had a sidescrolling view. Twin Runners 2 takes thing 3D and adds in some new features all while keeping the same addictive, challenging elements. It offers up a practice mode for beginners as well as those trying to better their high scores, and for super cometitive types you can attempt to climb the ranks of the leaderboards.
Hardboiled
If you enjoy survival games with deep complexity and rigorous challenges, Hardboiled is a game for you. As you explore a deserted wasteland in a post-apocalyptic world you’ll encounter the dangers of other violent people trying to take what you have. When you engage them in battle combat is turn based, and after you best your foes you’ll gain experience and level up to earn stat increases and skill points to build out your skill tree.
Ire: Blood Memory
This particular game is said to have been inspired by classic Japanese action RPG games. Those who like eye candy will enjoy the lush visuals, and those looking to play a game with a challenge should be able to find that and much more here. The developers tout extreme difficulty here as they wanted to create a game that hearkens back to the hard games of the 90’s. If you like action/RPG types similar to Dark Souls, except on mobile, give this a shot.
Crystalia: Orb of Magic
This one is a little bit more light-hearted than our previous pick. It’s a twin stick shooter where you must protect a series of magical orbs from encroaching monsters. There’s boss fights to give you just enough challenge, abilities to obtain and weapons with tons of upgrades to assist you in defending the orbs.
East Legend
If you like action RPG’s that take on more of an RPG like role with MMO elements, look no further than East Legend. It offers up pVp combat with other players for those who crave the intense action of a multiplayer battle, but it also carries tons of single player gameplay and non-PvP multiplayer with boss raids, dungeons and more.
Seabeard
Seabeard is all about adventure. There’s lots of it, and it’s all wrapped up in a friendly package that’s suitable for players of all ages. In seabeard you can nearly set out to be whatever you wish, with tons of different things to do and skills to learn like cooking, fishing and more. Sail the high seas in search of new places to explore, battle enemies in exciting combat, and engage with many hilarious in-game characters.
Seek
Seek takes a rather interesting approach to mobile gameplay, as you’ll be tasked with finding your friends in an fantastic looking polygonal world using your tablet as the viewfinder. When you enter the game you take on the roll of a child looking for their missing friends, and as you find each one new areas unlock for you to explore. If you have one of the few supported tablets that are compatible at this time give it a shot.
Climax
If you enjoy mini games and films, then you need to check out Climax. It takes more than 50 films from classic cinema and pop culture and gives you a series of mini games built around each one of them. The things you have to do are sort of random and quirky, and if you’ve ever played Wario Ware on the Wii you should feel a bit at home here.
MARVEL Future Fight
This is how all past MARVEL games on mobile should have been. Netmarble’s Future Fight game is a mix between action and RPG where you get to play as tons of different MARVEL super heroes like Daredevil, Spider-Man, Hulk, Black Widow, Iron Man, Ghost Rider and more. Each hero has the capacity to level up and gain new attack abilities or upgrade existing ones to make them stronger. You can also take a break from the single player mode and battle it out against other players in 3V3 combat.
