LG has just come up with two new mid-range Android smartphones – the LG G4 Stylus and the LG G4c. As the name implies, both the handsets have the same design as that of the company’s current flagship handset, LG G4. Many believe that the introduction of the G4 Stylus and the G4c is the right step forward for LG as mid-range smartphones usually bring the big revenue. During the launch of the handsets, Juno Cho, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications, pointed out that both these handsets are the perfect example of smartphones with premium experience without the premium price.
The LG G4 Stylus features a large 5.7-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels screen resolution. No points for guessing that this new baby is equipped with a stylus (much like Galaxy Note 4) allowing users to navigate through the interface and even create sketches. It boasts of a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor (4G LTE) or a 1.4 Ghz Octa-Core processor (3G), 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage space and a micro-SD card slot for expanding the memory of the phablet. The 4G LTE version of the handset houses a 13 MP primary camera while the 3G handset features an 8 MP lens. Both versions have the same 5 MP camera at the front. The G4 Stylus is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery. It has dimensions of 154.3 x 79.2 x 9.6 millimetres and weighs 163 grams. The LG G4 Stylus has been listed at €349 ($388).
The LG G4c on the other hand, features a 5-inch HD display with the same 720 x 1280 pixels screen resolution, a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB on-board storage and a micro-SD card slot. It has an 8 MP primary camera and a front-facing 5 MP lens. It includes a 2540 mAh battery and has dimensions of 139.7 x 69.8 x 10.2 millimetres. The LG G4c will be available for €249 ($277).
The South Korean smartphone giant has revealed that over the next few weeks, the G4 Stylus and the G4c will be shipped to retailers worldwide and the price details of the handsets will be announced locally, as and when they are released in different countries.
