Google has been integrating a lot of services and features into its ecosystem of late. Recently, it was noted Google Search now allows users to set an alarm, get directions or even order food from a select number of local food delivery outlets. Well, it has not just been Search that has been seeing updates and additional features landing lately. Google Play has too. In fact, very recently, it was reported that Google’s Play Store now offers the ability to pre-register for apps. Not to mention, there seems to be a new popularity indicator going live for songs on the Play Store.
Well, one piece of media content which is currently available on the Play Store that will not need a popularity indicator to tell you how much the show is liked, is Mad Men. The show has been a worldwide hit for the last eight years that the show has been airing and those interested in Mad Men, will certainly be aware that the show is due to come to an end quite soon. At the end of this week actually with the finale set to air on May 17th.
Well, to commemorate the Mad Men saga it seems the production company behind Mad Men, Lionsgate, have teamed up with Google Play to bring what is being referred to as the “Mad Men Experience”. This is an interactive site which looks to relive a number of memorable moments and classic clips from the series. As well as the clips, there is information on the actors and actresses as well as a continuous soundtrack playing in the background. The soundtrack, of course, is also taken from the show. Now, it should be made clear that this is not just the Play Store paying homage to the popular show. As the ‘experience’ also does contain a number of links to the Play Store so that you can purchase the songs, books or relive the previous seasons.
