The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge handsets are Samsung’s newest flagship offerings. These two handsets are the first metal unibody smartphones this Korea-based smartphone OEM has ever produced, and they pack top-of-the-line specifications on the inside. Both of those handsets are already available for purchase all over the world, and Samsung is even launching all kinds of official accessories, and has even launched a special edition of the Galaxy S6 Edge.
After a couple of official teasers, the company has unveiled the Limited Edition Iron Man Galaxy S6 Edge handset yesterday. The company has announced that the device will be available in South Korea starting today, and will reach China and Hong Kong next month. Well, we have some new info regarding its availability now. The device is available for pre-order starting today, and only 1,000 units will be available through three carriers in Korea. The Iron Man Galaxy S6 Edge comes with a wireless charging pad, which actually looks like Stark arc reactor from the movie, and you also get Samsung’s Clear Cover as part of this package. The device will ship with 64GB of internal storage available, and will cost 1,199 million won ($1,084).
In order to give you a better look at the Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Limited Edition handset, Samsung has uploaded a video in which an employee unboxes the handset. This Korea-based smartphone OEM hasn’t released any info regarding the availability of this version of Galaxy S6 Edge outside Asia, but are expected to do so in the near future.
The special edition of Galaxy S6 Edge sports the same specs as the original handset. It features a 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, 3GB of RAM and a 2,600mAh battery. This thing is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor and it ship with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop pre-installed with TouchWiz UI on top of Google’s OS. The 16-megapixel camera is available on the back of this handset, while a 5-megapixel shooter is located on the front side of the device.
