Meizu Might Unveil A Range Of Accessories At June 2 Event

Meizu has already announced that they’ll hold an event on June 2nd, and judging by the reports thus far, the company intends to launch the M1 Note’s successor at the event. We’ve already seen a number of leaks regarding the M2 Note (or whatever Meizu ends up calling it), and the company’s Vice President has even confirmed that Meizu will announce a ‘Note’ handset and that it will sport a physical home button, but not a fingerprint scanner as some rumors have been suggesting.

That being said, Meizu has released a ton of teaser images over the last week. We’ve already shared a bunch of them, and the company has released four more images which hint at some interesting products. You can check out all four images in the gallery down below, and it seems like Meizu is teasing the launches of an air purifier, power bank and some sort of a wearable (smartwatch or a fitness band). We’re only guessing here though, based on these rather mysterious teaser images. Either way, it seems like the company will announce a range of products on June 2nd, not just the M2 Note handset, and we’ll be in China in order to cover the event.

The M2 Note handset will be a direct successor to the M1 Note mid-ranger which launched at the end of last year. According to various leaks, this handset will sport similar design to its predecessor, but with the addition of a physical home button. The polycarbonate shell will wrap around the phone’s edges it seems, just like it did in the M1 Note’s case. A mysterious Meizu-branded handset was certified in China recently, and 4G LTE connectivity was confirmed thanks to that listing. The leaks have also showed us that the phone will run Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, with Meizu’s Flyme UI on top of Google’s operating system. The MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit octa-core SoC and 2GB of RAM were also mentioned in several leaks thus far. All in all, it seems like Meizu is preparing to launch yet another really affordable, and yet really capable mid-range handset. Stay tuned, we’ll report back soon.
