MetroPCS And Boost Mobile Battle It Out For Subscribers

Summer is a time for wireless carriers to introduce deals that will give the other carriers a run for their money and boost their subscriber numbers. It looks like the first two US carriers to do this are MetroPCS and Boost Mobile. Both of these carriers are owned by two bigger carriers, which are T-Mobile that owns MetroPCS, and Sprint that owns Boost Mobile. So, technically speaking T-Mobile and Sprint are the carriers who will be duking it out with their latest deals this summer.

Starting off with T-Mobile, the magenta clad carrier has introduced a deal that will allow anyone switching to MetroPCS from Boost Mobile or Virgin Mobile a free phone. The free phones that customers will have to choose from are the Samsung Galaxy Light, LG Leon LTE, and LG Optimus F60. On top of that, customers will also be given a $50 instant rebate towards other phones from MetroPCS. The deals don’t stop there for MetroPCS, the carrier will also be re-launching its ever-so-popular “4 for $100” plan. This plan gives customers 4 lines with unlimited voice, unlimited texting, and 2 GB of high-speed date per line. Just like when this plan was originally introduced though, it will only be around for a limited time. Unfortunately, nobody except T-Mobile and MetroPCS know just how long this plan will last as there was no date given yet.

Then there is Sprint’s Boost Mobile, which will have a deal of its own to offer customers for this summer. Said deal allows customers who port their number over to Boost Mobile from a non-Sprint carrier double the data on Boost Mobile’s $45 and $55 plans. Not only that, customers who do this will also be given a free new smartphone. That’s double the data and a free phone when you port your number over to Boost Mobile from a non-Sprint carrier. Taking a little more detailed look at this deal from Boost Mobile, customers who switch will get 10 GB of data as opposed to 5 GB for $45. Customers could also go with the $55 plan and get 20 GB instead of 10 GB. As for the free phone offering, customers will have the choice between the Lumia 635, LG Volt, LG Tribute, Motorola Moto E, and ZTE Speed.

These are all great deals from Metro PCS and Boost Mobile and there are sure to be more introduced over the summer. And the fact that most carriers will be introducing deals like this means that all of them will be trying to outdo the others. There is nothing more beautiful that competition in the wireless industry.
