OnePlus One Bamboo StyleSwap Cover Launched In India

OnePlus is a China-based company which has introduced only one handset thus far, the OnePlus One. Interestingly enough, this handset alone was more than enough for OnePlus to make a name for themselves. The OnePlus One was one of the best smartphones last year, and the company is expected to launch its successor in the third quarter of this year. This handset offered high-end specifications, and didn’t cost all that much, not to mention that Cyanogen’s software was pre-installed on the handset. In the meantime, OnePlus has launched its very own Oxygen OS, which will presumably come pre-installed on their future offerings.

That being said, OnePlus has also announced a number of smartphone back covers in March last year: Silk, Sandstone, Denim, Bamboo and Kevlar. The company calls them ‘StyleSwap’ covers, and the Bamboo version was just launched in India. OnePlus has announced the arrival of this accessory on the company’s official website, and has shared some interesting details regarding the cover itself. The company says that the production of this cover actually lasts 21 days and includes 28 different procedures which include drying, carbonising, polishing, etc.

The OnePlus One sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display along with 3GB of RAM and 16 or 64GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor powers the device along with an Adreno 330 GPU. The 13-megapixel shooter is available on the back of this device, and a 5-megapixel snapper is available up front. This device shisp with a 3,100mAh battery on the inside, it measures 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9mm and weighs 162 grams. The phone is available in Silk White (16GB variant) and Sandstone Black (64GB model).

The Bamboo StyleSwap cover offers that neat wood look which is so popular these days, and in case you’re thinking of buying it, you might want to check out our review before you do that. The OnePlus One Bamboo StyleSwap cover costs Rs. 1,499 in India, which doesn’t seem all that bad considering that this thing costs twice as much in the US. The accessory will be available on Amazon India from starting later today (3PM, local time), and if you’re interested, visit Amazon India.
